"sHaRpEy"

Born to a pair of Blue Beat and reggae loving parents, I was destined to be a junglist. My father used to play out at parties in South London under the alias of "Anth and his Never-ending Sounds", armed with his 7" Jamaican imports - labels coloured in to hide the identites of the riddim.

From the young age of 10, I was hooked to the underground nature of pirate radio. An avid listener to London Weekend Radio 92.5 MHz, I used to record Electro tracks from Derek Boland's shows and swap tapes at primary school. Street Sounds Electro 1 (1983) was the first vinyl I bought. This started my life-long addiction to record collecting and dance music.

Hooked on pirate radio, I continued on my underground music journey. Through the late 80's house scene and into breakbeat, hardcore and finally jungle - this is where my collection ends. Every 12" I own has a special place in my heart. Where I first heard it, where I bought it and the memories it brings

My first mix was at my mate Jon's house in 1991. From memory he had 2 belt driven Technics decks and a small mixer from Tandy. From that day I was hooked! Mixing has been mostly a hobby, although I've certainly done my fair share of private parties, pirate radio (Soundz 94.3) and of course our Manorizm nights.

Instead of succumbing to a pair of slippers and a pipe, I'm keeping the dream alive and emabracing the online world of streaming shows to anyone that cares to listen. Out to each and every one I know, and those who are sadly no longer with us.

Shout outs to the background engineers that helped with my setup, namely;

Prototype - For background hum removal and audio quality improvement

Keith [Transmitter builder for the aforementioned LWR and Soundz FM] - For setting up my 9024 sound processor to perfection!

More to come soon...
